For starters, Tetris was programmed by a Soviet Russian, and everyone knows Soviet Russians bleed RED, the color of COMMUNISM!
Secondly, and less well-known, is the fact that Tetris was a secret Soviet plot to take over America. Every Tetris cartridge contained a secret code that, when it received a signal from the Kremlin, would turn the children of America's R.O.B. Nintendo robots into laser-spewing engines of Red Death. With America a smoking ruin, zombie Joseph Stalin would be able to use his army of robots to take over North America and get all the tasty brain tacos he could ever want.
